Macaroni Kid Providence/Northern RI

Have you experienced Sunflowers for Wishes in Connecticut yet? If not, this is an event that you don't want to miss!! This is one of my favorite things to do with my boys each summer! It runs for about one week each year and is BEAUTY and CHARITY all in one!

Buttonwood Farm has been planting over 10 ACRES of Sunflowers each year since 2004 and donates all proceeds from this event to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Connecticut. At the farm you can take a tractor drawn hayride through cow pastures and 4 acres of sunflower fields in bloom, have an ice cream (they even have sunflower ice cream - another favorite of mine) and purchase a beautiful sunflower bouquet! Do not forget your camera, you will want to take plenty of pictures of the endless sunflowers!  It runs daily from July 23-31, 10am until dusk (see the calendar for more info).
