Labor Day weekend will be here before we know it, and there is plenty to check off your family’s summer activities list at Roger Williams Park Zoo and Carousel Village. Experience incredible animal encounters and other seasonal offerings before Monday, Sept. 5th!
Don’t miss Birds From Down Under, a special exhibit that allows guests of all ages to feed more than 500 birds native to Australia. Stroll among these colorful creatures in the Zoo’s greenhouse, located just before Hasbro’s Our Big Backyard for just $3 in addition to Zoo admission. RWP Zoo members enjoy a $1 discount off each ticket.
The camel rides also continue this month at the Zoo, a special treat for guests of any age. Visitors can take a ride on trained camels around a track near the Big Backyard. This year, the riding trail was extended to allow for an even longer close-contact experience with these majestic creatures. Camel rides cost $6 per rider. Again, RWP Zoo members receive a $1 discount off each ticket.
There are must-see and do summer activities at the Carousel Village too! Pony rides are offered during normal carousel hours, allowing guests to experience these majestic animals like never before in a safe and fun environment. Children must be age 2 or older to ride, and must be under 100 lbs. Rides are $5 per person. And at the bounce house, leap, jump and play the day away. Don’t forget to bring socks, as they are required to enter the bounce house! This activity is available for children ages 3 through 12 and is priced at $3 for 5 minutes
Why pick one activity, when you can experience all of them as many times as you want? This special wristband gives your child unlimited rides on the carousel, and access to the bounce house and pony rides on the day of your visit. Each $20 wristband is valid for one child.
