2.Explore the vastness of Roger Williams State Park. With 427 landscaped acres to explore, Roger Williams State Park may have more to it than you have previously explored. There are trails to walk, historic sites to see and if your feeling like adding a bit more fun there is always the carousel or a ride on the swan boats. 3. Explore the free state water parks of Providence. When it starts to get real hot, one of the best ways to cool off is to let the kids run around a splash pad! 4. Watch a family friendly film outdoors in the city! No need to go far to see an outdoor movie this summer, the Providence Rink will be hosting a monthly offering of family movies. A fun night is sure to be had with a beer garden for the adults, food vendors and free popcorn! You must reserve a spot ahead of time online as they are sure to fill up!
